The Danish Gambling Authority's report, which outlines its efforts to prevent illegal gambling in Denmark, was just released.

Every year, the Danish Gambling Authority provides an overview of its enforcement activities and explains Denmark's gambling laws.By collaborating with Twitch in 2024, the authority expanded its regulatory purview and was able to report unlawful gambling content on the network.

This program is similar to the authority's current partnerships with Apple, Facebook, and Google, which allow them to take down gambling content that isn't authorized on these platforms. The research also focuses on the growing trend of "Robux betting," which involves using the in-game money from the video game Roblox as a deposit or prize in online gambling.

Good to know: Since no operators in Denmark currently possess a license to provide skin betting or Robux betting, such activities are prohibited.

Numerous third-party websites that support this type of betting have been detected by the government; these websites frequently target underage gamers. According to Denmark's current gambling and casino regulations, Robux can be exchanged for real money through Roblox's Developer Exchange Program (DevEx).

The Court of Frederiksberg decided that websites that provide Robux-based gambling and have Danish-language content are seen to be aiming for the Danish market and are therefore subject to Danish gambling laws.

To aid in its enforcement activities, the Danish Gambling Authority is urging the public to report any suspicious gambling behavior.
